About this site

Registered Agent by State is published by LL Service. It exists to answer one question per state: what does the state require of a registered agent, what does it charge, and what do the main providers charge.

How we work: every state fact is stored with the page it came from and the date we checked it, and the page shows both. Most come from the state's filing office or statute pages. A row from a secondary source says so. Some values were taken from a search summary of the official page because the state site blocked a direct read; confirm those on the official page before you file. A script re-reads the sources once a month and reports any change it finds, for us to check against the source. Provider prices are read on each provider's own site and dated.
